Often, we find ourselves hooking pinkies as a sign of promise. People say that the promise given was a necessity of the past, the word broken is a necessity of the present. It feels so much like a lie that people tell you yet it maybe the truth at times. Actually, it is not a necessity unless we allow it to be. Then why are there still broken promises? Perhaps humans' nature and feelings has taken a toll on us causing us to make the wrong choice and thus break promises.
"I'll be there for you"
No doubt that the words are easily spoken. However the sincerity of these words differs. Things get unfortunate when we were not given the chance to honour our words although we were really sincere. We wish that we are that person who cares for someone and share his/her weals and woes, like how it used to be. It really hurts deeeeeeep down inside but maybe as people move on, their hearts are blinded to us at a point of time. All that we can do is to pray for their best and remind ourselves that they don't owe their lives to us yes?
