Ramadhan Updates

Alhamdullillah.
This year is a better Ramadhan for me as compared to last year's. It amazed me how I managed to view Ramadhan from a different perspective and learnt alot of lessons at the same time. Indeed, Ramadhan is a month of strength and not weakness. Sometimes it made me feel how hard it is being others who are less fortunate. We can never knew until we interact with them and experience their situations. Despite their difficult situations, they gather strengths and are still grateful to HIM that they were given a life to live. However, the far more fortunate ones, like us, keep complaining about life. Does it take one to feel serious hardships before he/she starts thinking of HIM and appreciate His greatness for whatever HE gave us? I was just wondering. Some people asked, "Why are you going for all these things? Your Olevel is around the corner. You should be studying." I knew they meant well, rooting for me and wanting me to succeed. However, I was thinking how often do I get to come across this holy month and do all these things. I mean, these opportunities are too good to miss.

R-squared (Ramadhan Rocks)
This was the first event which starts the ball rolling. Undeniably, it's a thirst quencher. Not to the throat but to the soul, of cos. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. All the guidance and reflections made me think whether I have been carrying out my responsibility properly to HIM all these years. Oh yes, and the activity which impact me most for this camp was 'Stoning the Habit' whereby we wrote down negative stuffs that we didn't want on a pebble and threw it into the sea. I also appreciated the strong bond that we built among the participants during this 2 days 2 nights camp. We got along well and were there for each other. Currently, I'm missing these darlings: Khairunnisa, Syahidah, Hanin, Annisa, Isdiyannah, Farah, Atiqah, Amirah, Mardiyanah, Nira, Mira, Ain, Hanis, Rhaudah

Qiyam
It was rather an exposure for me. Shyieka and I agreed that sleeping in the mosque was heavenly, as in it's a nikmat. With a short 2 and a half hours of sleep that we had, we woke up feeling refreshed and energetic like as if we slept for 8 hours or so. Apparently, we woke up late and did not qiyam (which was supposed to be the main purpose) as no one woke us up because we were soundly sleeping at a corner where hardly people can see or walk pass. With pairs of eyes darting on us, we feel like star karats as others were already done with their food when we just reached the eating place for our sahur. hehs. The highlight of this was getting to meet beloved kak shara after so many eeyore months.

Jom Ittihad
This was another event which left me with no regrets. I am so grateful that Mira asked me along. Although it felt weird that I was the youngest there (as it was a SP's and TP's event), i'm glad that i managed to put it aside as it was the main purpose of the event that matters. The major highlight was getting to clean houses of people who are far more less fortunate than us. I got along with Sharifah and Rufi during that event as we were assigned to clean Cik Aminah's house. Which then we need extra help from Atiqah due to lack of time. It's not only the great sense of satisfaction that we get, it's the love too. Seeing through their eyes, we can see that some of this feeble and frail people suffered so much. But yet, I think that they are even stronger than us, physically and emotionally. I totally love cik aminah- the way she melata and accidentally call us monkeys climbing up her bed to clean the ceiling, the way she react when being teased abt Dr Faishal) She's a lovely and wonderful lady. I've tootally no regrets attending such events even if i'm in midst of preparation for Os(:

This year is the best Ramadhan so far. Terima kasih, ya allah.

Insya'allah. I hope for a better Ramadhan next year.
With Love, Irdayu.
